This renovation project included an expansion of student group study areas, library support staff space and a new Starbucks retail store. The ground floor of the library was renovated to provide staff space to accommodate the construction of a new Starbucks. Library support staff offices were relocated to a reconfigured open workspace layout and refreshed with new carpeting, doors, paint, office furniture and a new kitchenette. The cafe was replaced with a 3,500 square foot Starbucks store and lounge centrally located within the facility. Some unique features include a 40-foot long “Moby Dick”-themed mural, cashless payment and bistro boxes.
