Community Outreach
Alvin H. Butz, Inc. is partnering with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on a community project for the Building Hope for Kids initiative. Butz is the lead contractor on the addition project which includes building a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor of a family’s home for the two children who have difficulty using the second floor. Various Lehigh Valley vendors and suppliers have donated time, materials and expertise for help the family.
Mentoring the next generation of Builders
For more than 20 years, William Allen Construction Company has given high school students an opportunity to learn about the construction industry. Through their partnership with Alvin H. Butz, Inc., WACC students plan and build actual projects for their school and community.
Giving Back to Centre County
Alexander employees from the State College office participated in the United Way Day of Caring working at the PSU Golf Course trail maintenance project. By the end of the day, the trails, especially in the wooded areas, were cleared of brush and made safer.

Alvin H. Butz, Inc. has committed $500,000 through the Butz Foundation to support Penn State Health’s two newest community hospitals — Hampden Medical Center and Lancaster Medical Center — Children’s Miracle Network and Four Diamonds Mini-THON®.
Supporting early learning
Alexander – Harrisburg employees supported the community by participating in the United Way Day of Caring Stuff the Bus event. School and health supplies were collected for children in the Capital Region and delivered to school districts participating in Ready for School, Ready to Succeed.
