A ground-breaking ceremony was held April 11 in North Wales at the future site of Penn Medicine Montgomeryville. Alvin H. Butz, Inc. is a partner of the CORE IPD team constructing the four-story, 162,000 SF medical office facility that is scheduled to open late 2027. The project is being delivered using true IPD with an IFOA, poly-party, contractual agreement and will seek LEED Gold certification, aligning with Penn Medicine’s efforts to become the nation’s most environmentally friendly health care organization. Other features of the project include an 800-car garage, landscaping and site improvements, and a 530-ton geothermal system that will serve as the primary energy source for heating and cooling functions.
This facility will expand access to advanced health care in Philadelphia’s northern suburbs and beyond, and provide comprehensive cancer care, including radiation oncology services and chemotherapy provided by the Abramson Cancer Center. Additional services will include primary care, heart and vascular, orthopedic and neuroscience care, and specialized services in women’s health and surgical consultations. Read more.
