A new AMC DINE-IN Theatre was constructed as a third floor overbuild at the Fashion District Philadelphia. The high-end Dolby® theatre has 8 auditoriums with stadium seating and plush, reclining and heated seats, concession services, entrance lobby with TV screen, restrooms, including a family restroom, bar / restaurant and office /administration areas. The theatre has fixed seating for 836 and 34 wheelchair spaces for movie viewing. The project consisted of structural steel/deck, roof replacement, interior fit-out of spaces, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and electrical work, and startup and commissioning. MEP features to support specialized acoustical sound systems were utilized. The project was on a tight, heavily populated, urban setting within an occupied building so close communication and coordination with the entire project team was essential.
