This new building is being built on a tight urban site, right up to the property lines with adjacent buildings on all sides.The new interactive science center has several unique features, including: a large, immersive human body exhibit which is comprised of a complex ramp and stair system with integrated exhibits highlighting different aspects of the human body including the heart, brain, and digestive system. Visitors will be able to walk through the exhibit as if traveling through the human body.
A Lehigh River Watershed exhibit includes a cave system and concrete otter pools, slides, and waterfall, all on an elevated concrete slab on deck on the 2nd floor of the facility. The exhibit features animals native to the Lehigh River Watershed, including live North American River Otters.
