The Women and Children’s program area was modernized to improve the overall environment and patient experience. The renovation took place in an active area on the existing east and south wings of the 4th floor and included six labor and delivery rooms, continuing care nursery, C-section room and suite, family and visitor lounge area, staff support spaces and an expansion of the post-partum suite. Careful phasing was implemented to limit disruptions to the healthcare workers, staff and patients.
